Autumn in Kentucky

Autumn's road is laid in gold,
Orange burnt is brilliant and bold.
Like scarlett flames they light up the sky,
Then falling to the Earth in a hushed, heavy sigh.
Crisp and clear the air settles in,
Long, sunny days come to an end.
Heaven's reward for all to behold,
Magenta, orange and beautiful gold.

The crisp cool weather had arrived just in time to paint the trees with delicious golden, bronze, amber, peach and maroon hues.
Mother Nature rewarded us with a week of warm seventy-five degree days.
The warm weather was opportunity to get out and enjoy the autumn scenery.

Luscious, golden and warm... these days were a gift from Heaven above.

Splendor in the trees.

Autumn in this area is spectacular.
Rode out to the country one weekday afternoon. Riding scooters on the back roads of Kentucky is relaxing and pleasant on warm, Indian Summer afternoons.
